Officials believe a tornado touched down around 9 a.m. Monday morning at Scotch Meadows and McLeod Road in Laurinburg.

No one was injured by the suspected twister, but residents reported hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of property damage, as well as several injured horses.
Wilson's Farm on McLeod Road was among the properties damaged from high winds. The farm's driveway as well as the farm had fallen trees, power-lines and fences. Tin roofs from the high winds were spread across the farm.
The horses on the property were all accounted for, officials from Wilson's Farm said. Three horse trailers were overturned in the storm.
Trip Wilson, the property owner, was away and unavailable for comment.
